VIDEO PRODUCTION / EDITING

Updated: May 1

In today's digital landscape, where visual content reigns supreme, organizations that harness the power of video stand to gain a competitive edge, reaching wider audiences and driving increased engagement and conversion rates. By investing in video creation and editing, organizations can enhance their online presence, build brand awareness, and ultimately, achieve their business goals with greater impact and effectiveness.

The Cochrane & Area Humane Society

As the world rapidly transitioned to a virtual landscape during COVID, I had to find new and unique ways to adapt and still showcase our adoptable animals. I began to explore innovative methods of engaging with our audience on social media through the use of video stories, reels, and clips including adoptable animals and showcasing staff and volunteers. A practice that was not previously embraced as part of their social media strategy.

During my time at the shelter, I produced numerous videos and introduced a captivating series I called "kitten cam" where I set up a camera and captured the playful antics of shelter kittens which was very well received and resulted in engagement, numerous likes, and shares. I also developed videos providing glimpses into our training classes and educational programs, all presented through engaging visual content. Here's a few to enjoy!

The Cochrane & Area Humane Society and The LifeLine Canada

Companion Paws Program

The Cochrane & Area Humane Society (CAHS) was delighted to announce a partnership with The LifeLine Canada Foundation (TLC), a registered non-profit, for their program for their impactful Companion Paws program.

TLC is dedicated to promoting positive mental health and preventing suicide on a national and global scale. Their Companion Paws program focuses on supporting Canadians in need while offering a fresh start for pets in rescues.

The CAHS Positive Approach Canine Education program (PACE), a comprehensive one-year adult education initiative, joined forces with the TLC Companion Paws Program to train selected rescue dogs. This mutually beneficial program provides shelter dogs trained through the PACE program a second chance, while positively impacting individuals involved in the Companion Paws program.

The Cochrane Society for Housing Options

The Cochrane Society for Housing Options (CSHO) champions affordable housing initiatives and programs in Cochrane and the surrounding area. One of CSHO's fundraising initiatives, "Home Reno Heaven," focuses on recycling usable home renovation products, tools, and appliances that might otherwise be needlessly discarded. This project not only contributes to sustainability but also provides volunteer opportunities within the store.

In this brief video, we highlight a volunteer named John, who dedicated his free time crafting birdhouses using recycled materials purchased from Home Reno Heaven, then generously donates back to the store for resale.

This heartwarming video was shared across various local Cochrane groups on social media and garnered attention from local media outlets, showcasing the positive impact of Home Reno Heaven and the community's commitment to sustainable practices.
